Upcoming Workshops
We offer several short workshops throughout the year taught by our staff and Pilates colleagues from the community.
Below is our upcoming schedule.
Mindful Cuing for Movement Professionals
with Rachel Krahenbuhl
In this two-hour experiential workshop, movement professionals will explore how language, tone, touch, and presence shape how clients learn and embody movement. Through guided discussion, reflection, and mindful movement practices, participants will consider how attitudes and specific language can elicit awareness of the present moment or encourage overthinking. Come away with an increased understanding of how intentional cueing can deepen our connection to sensory experiences and what environments disrupt movement learning. Master how to cue with clarity, presence, and intention to create an environment where movement feels safe, integrated, and embodied.
Friday, February 20, 2026 from 4:15-6:15pm in the North Studio
Roll and Release
with Hillary Ann
With Roll & Release you will learn self myofascial release and self massage techniques using therapy balls and other tools to help improve body awareness, alleviate pain, increase mobility, optimize performance, and regulate your nervous system. “Rolling” with these tools will hydrate and restore stuck tissue, leaving you and your body grounded, renewed, and relaxed, with an instant increase in flexibility and range of motion. In this workshop you will develop a customized tool-kit of self-massage techniques to keep your body tuned up and feeling great from head to toe.
Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 6:00-7:30pm in the South Studio
Advanced Chair Classical Variations
with Maya Christopherson
Dive into advanced archival Chair variations inspired by original 1940s footage of Joseph Pilates and his students in action. These rarely taught movements echo the Classical variations we know today—yet they deliver a distinct intensity and dynamic feel that sets them apart. You’ll also discover more streamlined transitions woven throughout the archival work, designed to create a fuller, more seamless workout experience. This workshop is open to Pilates teachers and dedicated low chair enthusiasts ready to explore the roots of the method with fresh eyes and a strong core.

Go Big!
with Cara Reeser and Jeremy Laverdure
In this weekend-long course, we apply concepts from across the MSMS curriculum to some of the most challenging exercises on the Pilates equipment. This will allow long-time students to integrate their knowledge in ways that aren’t usually available during our curriculum courses. But it’s also a great opportunity for newer students to be exposed to MSMS in a fun, less theory-intensive environment. We’ll learn how to get the most out of exercises on the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair and Barrels by looking at each exercise through the lens of MSMS principles. As always, stepping stones and variations will be offered so you can meet your clients where they are. This course is appropriate for any Pilates instructor who wants to deepen their teaching and their own practice.
Relevant anatomy, kinesiology, and motor learning lecture recordings will be available online for as much (or little!) review as you want to do ahead of time, so the weekend can be dedicated to practice! Space is limited, so register early!
