Maya Christopherson teaches a small group Pilates mat class as part of the Streamline Bridge Training Program.

Streamline Pilates Bridge Program

~70 hours

The Streamline Pilates Bridge Program is designed for instructors who already hold a mat or equipment certification and are ready to close the gap between "certified" and "exceptional" — the level of teaching most studios are currently struggling to hire for.

This continuing-education program helps already-certified instructors teach with greater depth, confidence, and range.

Across four weekend intensives, spaced three to four weeks apart, instructors receive small-group mentorship with direct, individualized feedback on their teaching, working alongside a guided apprenticeship, an anatomy review, study of Pilates history and philosophy, ongoing teaching evaluations, and a culminating capstone project.

Block I — Foundations Refresh & Cueing Mastery
Review of alignment and anatomy, with focused work on precise cueing language, voice, and pacing.

Block II — Apparatus & Sequencing
An in-depth look at the apparatus and how to sequence exercises with seamless transitions across mat and equipment classes, including strategies for managing mixed-level groups.

Block III — Special Populations & Adaptations
Adaptation strategies for pregnancy, post-rehabilitation, older adults, and athletes, with an emphasis on real-time modification skills.

Block IV — The Business of Teaching
A look at personal brand and client retention, culminating in a live capstone class.

Deepening Your Own Practice
Throughout every block, the program returns to a simple truth: your own practice is inseparable from your teaching. It's easy, once you're the one leading class after class, to let your personal practice quietly slide down the priority list, but the instructors who keep growing are almost always the ones who keep returning to the mat or the reformer as students themselves. Deepening your own movement, your own body awareness, and your own relationship with the method is what gives your cueing its authenticity and your corrections their precision — which is why nurturing your personal practice sits alongside every technical skill this program covers, not as an afterthought, but as the foundation the rest of it stands on.

Course Description:

The Streamline Pilates Bridge Program is the natural next step after completing a preliminary training program. Initial training often feels comprehensive at the time, but most instructors discover — once they begin teaching — that they've only touched the surface, and this program is built to review and extend that original training, using it as a foundation for a lifetime of deepening skill and understanding of the Pilates method.

The program offers new insight into your craft, helping to elevate your teaching to a more advanced, dynamic level. Rooted in the principles of Joseph Pilates, you'll learn to guide clients and classes toward natural, flowing movement patterns, sharpening your verbal cueing and hands-on teaching techniques along the way. By the end, you'll have developed the skill to progress a client or class through the appropriate levels and layers of the Pilates Method with confidence and precision.

The required 70 hours for the bridge program include:

36 Lecture
10 Observation
10 Lessons (must include at least 5 solo sessions, 3 equipment classes and 2 mat classes)
